Trolling Motor Transom Mount Bracket

Hello everyone, I'm writing this in the interest of cost savings and information psychiatry residents find quite often. there's a little motor on the bottom of the transom mount bracket (near the small screwdriver) that people often forget to pull out. And they often forget because the brackets are "stacked" (or maybe forgot because they were posed that way), with the motor in the middle. here's how to fix it. first, find a place to put the motor. The brackets are placed very high on the transom mount, so find a spot to put the motor there. Then, find a way to get the motor down there. I found this by taking the screws off of the brackets and then pulling them down from the top. Then, I took the screws off of the brackets and had to thrust them down from the top. Finally, I took the screws off of the motor and had to remove them from the brackets. now, for the fun part. to add or remove the motor, you need to know where the brackets go. You can see them in this picture. the brackets go around the crossbar (the white piece at the top of the transom mount). now, find a way to attach the motor to the brackets. I did this by taking the screws off of the brackets and then pulling them down from the top. that's all you need to know to add or remove the motor. now, you're ready to go. the motor is now in the transom mount bracket. and you're ready to go. but, one last thing. one last thing that people often forget to do is to pull the motor out. And, in order to do this, you need to find a place to put the motor. the place to put the motor is by the small screwdriver. so, now you have all the information you need to put the motor in the transom mount bracket.
